Government workers repeatedly snooped without authorization inside the electronic passport records of entertainers, athletes and other high-profile Americans, a State Department audit has found. One celebrity's records were breached 356 times by more than six dozen people. article...

More Waste, Fraud and Abuse
June 29, 2008
Editorial NYTimes
Representative Henry Waxman recently asked a question for which we would also like an answer: How did a company run by a 21-year-old president and a 25-year-old former masseur get a sensitive $300 million contract to supply ammunition to Afghan forces? Mr. Waxman raised the issue after executives of a Miami Beach arms dealer, AEY, were indicted on fraud charges this month, accused of pawning off tens of millions of banned and decrepit Chinese cartridges on the United States Army to supply Afghan security forces. article...

you name it, hes ready to drill.

Bad Day in the Rose Garden
By GAIL COLLINS
Published: June 19, 2008
WAPost

...In a major change of policy, the president announced that he wanted to end a federal ban on offshore drilling and open up drillers access to the outer continental shelf.

He repeatedly referred to the outer continental shelf as the O.C.S., making the whole proposal sound a little like a search for energy sources in an old teen TV series.

The O.C.S. was only one part of a four-point recipe for producing tons and tons of American-bred gasoline in the future. Bush wants to search for oil offshore, out West, in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, in the basement, beneath the Washington Monument you name it, hes ready to drill.

This would require a great deal of excruciatingly controversial legislation, all of which he demanded the Democrats in Congress pass before the Fourth of July recess.

Otherwise, everything is their fault...
